|  Blown turbo Hi I have a 54 plate Vrs which blew it's turbo this weekend - 3½ months after the warranty expired. Anyone have any experience of this. The garage had never seen this happen before, especially on such lowish milage car (sub 42K miles). Payman  Last edited by payman; 07-05-2008 at 14:12. Was the car remapped? As said- a number of these has occurred before. It is still rare though. It seems you are unlucky. Hope the damage has gone exhaust way not engine way...

| Re: Blown turbo No, it wasn't re-mapped - bog standard VRS. The possible engine / exhaust damage is something I'll have to keep an eye on. I might be back with more questions...........  |

| Re: Blown turbo So if skoda replace a blown turbo then after 3.5months the warranty runs out. Surely the turbo alone has some form of guarantee regardless of any outstanding warranty. |
