Default Brake Lights

Sorry this is really basic but I have a brake light out and was wondering where was best/cheapest to buy one from.
Can you get them from any parts shop or do you have to get them through a skoda dealer.

Also does having a brake light out effect your car in any other way was reading below and I got the impression that it could effect other things.

You can get the bulbs from any motor factor, halfords will have the best chance of having one. SHouldnt affect anything else, but you may have a warning light on the dash illumintated (most likely the glo-plug one)

Cheers Halfords it is then just wondered as everything now seems to be made so you can only buy it direct from the maker.

It might be that you have been reading that failure of the brake light switch causes lots of stange things (other panel lights on) to happen. If the switch fails, for all the time the switch is faulty, none of the brake lights will operate.
