| Well guys im no longer a fellow skoda owner (still got mrs fabia vRS, so there is still a skoda on the drive) sold my silver vRS as i've had it nearly 3 years & it was time for a change. I've just got a Megane 225 Trophy (only 500 made) with a few mods on it which is awesome apart from the fuel consumption I was said to see it go after 3 years of fun and pretty cheap running costs.Paul. Here a few pics of my new car, took them with my phone so the quality isnt great. Mods on it so far Miltec exhaust, Forge front mounted intercooler, Forge dump valve and a itg panel filter. | Yeah, good! May move it down a pin or two if fuel gets much more expensive, though... ![]()

| I've never owned a petrol. I've only been driving 4 years and the cost scared me back then when it was 85p per litre so I'm no way gonna switch to petrol now. My dad refuses to get diesel tho despite being impressed with all of mine, so I've driven petrols... including a few rather quick ones I've taken on test drive and I'd say they're a luxury, a rather expensive 1 tho!! |

| Yeah i most admit it does like a drink but the sound of the dump valve and milltec exhaust make up for it! |

| Yes but we all know all these fast petrol turbos are a bad idea. ![]() Why not just make the fabia quicker ![]() Mine will eat most stuff on the road, if you dont believe me then you can join the many who have eaten my smoke ![]() AND will still do 50+mpg on a long run and my average this week has been 43mpg and i havent been hanging around. | My Fabia had a few mods on it & to be honest it wouldnt touch my megane, the handling is unbelievable for a front wheel drive car. |

| I do 16k + a year, which I about to go up because I'm changing jobs, which'll see an extra 100 miles a week ontop of what I'm already doing. But when I finally get a job that's right next to my house I'm going petrol. But probably the Escort Cosworth kind. hehe |

| Thats the main reason i have decided to go back to petrol as my work is only 3 miles away and diesel is 10p a litre more expensive plus the service intervals on the 225 are nearly twice as long as the fabia. So it shoudn't cost me to much more run ![]() |

| Nooooooooooooo not a french car. My renault fell to pieces at 70,000 miles. They cant build good, well tuned engynes which last time or miles. Fabia would have been a safe bet to stick with, or Octavia VRS if you needed a bigger car. |

| Which Renault did you have? You might find the RenaultSport varients are a breath of fresh air in reliability and build quality. I know I've been very impressed with my friend's 225 Cup. It's a superb bit of kit. Spent a bit of time in it last weekend and it really does grow on you. The ultimate level of grip is properly astounding. He's got a Milltek fitted too, along with a few Forge bits. Sounds great and has the performance to back it up. Have a look on meganesport.net forums - Powered by vBulletin if you haven't already Paul. Not as good as here mind ![]() Enjoy! ![]() Steve

| Ahh thanks Wardy! Great choice to go for the Trophy. Imo much more exclusive than the F1 or R26. Top marks. I've been very impressed with mine so far after 1.5 years of ownership. The best upgrade is definitely the Milltek though ![]() |
