Can anybody guess?

Hi,

I've got a 2005 VRS, just got a quote from Elephant for alloys and a remap. They quoted 200 quid ish, until renewal in January. Annoyingly though, they can't give a quote for next year until renewal time, December.

In January I'll have 3 years NCD. This year was 770 quid.

Anybody else got mods covered mid policy with Elephant? What happened at renewal time?

Cheers for any ideas!

Chris

Just read that, I mean a quote for how much the alloys / remap will add to next years premium.

Thanks!

Get a quote from Adrian Flux, they specialise in modified cars. They don't charge extra for aftermarket alloys and are sympathic with the tuned engined driver.

They were over £150 cheaper for me with 1yrs NCD on a standard PD100

Be careful with adrian flux though, if you want to end the policy early for whatever reason they screw you BIG TIME!!! My mate was paying the best part of a grand for his E30 318 BMW (at 19years old) but it didn't pass the MOT. He decided to take it off the road for a while cos money was tight (and he could walk to work at the time). They gave him back something like £150 when there was over 7months left on the policy!!!!! They said the rest was swallowed by "Admin" charges.

Hmmm, I hate waiting, tempted to get the stuff done now, give Elephant their money, and hope and pray that its not a stupid increase come renewal time.

Whatta you lot think? Surely thats a plan with no drawbacks?

Elephant charged me £25 extra for 312mm brakes with 10 months left on the policy. Can't complain at that
