Will depend on your age, but Adrian Flux, Admiral and Chris Knott all insured me with a "chipped" car for very little more than standard...

I'm with Admiral and found them to be very competitive. Elephant is the same company, play the two against each other if the prices differ.

A to Adrian Flux here, as long as you don't need to cancel the policy early at any time.
Elephant\Admiral will **** you about when it comes to mods etc.

Greenlight and HIC too - worth checking with anyway. Insurance is such a minefield, that one company that was competitive with one person, can be skyhigh for another! Age, location, driving history etc

There was talk of it, but was it ever confirmed?

Would be interested myself, as they're on my list to try for quotes next month.

Just tried Admiral, came out at £740. I pay £400 with Swift cover. Looks like getting the remap is going to cost a lot in extra insurance costs. Not sure I can justify that kind of expense really!

Need to try a couple of the other places.

I know someone with a Leon 110 and they were with Swiftcover and had it remapped.

He rang them up and they didn't know what it was lol and said because its not a physical addition to the car his premium wouldn't be affected.

Looks like Greenlight have blacklisted the fabia vRS. They told me they wont quote it due to excessive number of claims!

Try Brentacre as they're very competitive. I'm with them and they knocked £500 off my renewal this year to compete with Adrian Flux. Also only power additions add to the policy, so you can put whatever you want on such as exhaust, suspension etc and it'll not affect your policy. Nice friendly people on the other end of the phone too, I always seem to get a guy called Kelly and he's always cheerful and helpful. Definitely a big

A big for Adrian Flux.

All mods declared, 23 with 4 years no claims - £480 with a £600 excess

Sounds like a very decent price Gez, all things considered. I just hope you never have cause to pay that excess!
