Coolant

Which coolants can I use for the Fabia vRS? I know it says in the manual to use a 40/60 mix of coolant and water. I have some 50/50 premix stuff that I bought for my Civic Type R. Is it ok to use that or should I only go with the purple stuff the manual recommends?

Unless you want to gunk up your coolant system you should use only G12 antifreeze in your cooling system as recommended.

Re: Coolant

Has been for about 5 years or so..lol.

Basically they got shot of G11 completely and replaced both G11 and G12 with G12+ which is backwards compatable.

Re: Coolant

Is this the same purple stuff that you're meant to use in VW's?

No problem really. I just thought it might be easier/cheaper if you could get it online. Actually there's a VW garage next to where I work so I could pop in there if it's the same stuff.

Re: Coolant

Cheers, got some - a lot cheaper than I paid for my Honda premix coolant!

When I mix it with H2O, do I need to use distilled water or is tap water fine?

Thanks again.

Found on oil that Herr VW is a lot cheaper and helpful than stealer /Halfrauds and most motor factors ( a lot of then don't know what 505.01 is )
