| I'm sure this has been done to death before but I have a few question's I'd like to ask. I've been following posts for a while and searched a few about the subject of retro fitting. I know BigK was doing it but I believe he has retired, he mentioned that he'd had problem enabling it in the newer 05 model year cars ECU's. Has anyone been doing it? Can you try to enable the CC before it is fitted to confirm if it can or can't be done? If it can't be done with VAG-COM would the dealer machine be anymore likely to achieve it? Is there a part number for the missing loom? Are the connections the same as the VW ones commonly posted in the tutorials?

| My dealer reckons that it can't be dealer fit as the loom is missing. From what I have read, this is known and BigK as well as others were making their own up. What I wanted to be clear of is, if i get the loom sorted and fit the stalk can it definately be switched on?

| Yes I've read a few of your posts about it. Leeds is a long way for me to travel but it is a good price. Did you hang around an watch them do it? Did the car have the loom fitted or did they make it?

| I have spoken with Big K but he seems to have disapeared again. I've done a lot of research on this myself now and think I'm about ready to go. When I get time to do it and I know it works I'll release the info.

| Sounds like a Briskoda reader there then I've been in touch with Skoda UK about it and was told that a Retro kit may be available in the UK at some stage. There is a kit available in Germany part number BEA400002, there are also - I'm told - 3 of these in UK stock at a price of £53.54 + VAT however they are 'tagged' as do not order and they won't be released. The German kit is supposed to be for pre 05/2004 cars only. Keep us informed of your findings. I think the CC fitting is easy if you don't mind cutting into your ECU loom but I want to achieve a more professional fit by using the original locations and this is where the difficulty lies.
