Default Eibachs now on!

Just a quick thread as I had some Eibach springs fitted today on my vRS! Only just drove back from work on them but the difference is surprisingly noticable.

They are not too firm and a huge improvement over the standards (even though i have kept the standard dampers).

The car sits brilliantly on my 17's and the leon splitter looks the part on the front - no problems with any of the speed humps even with 3 people in the car!!!!

Pics will follow but will take a few days as have my works party all day tomor!

Big thanx to Wardy!

Must admit the springs make a hell of a difference to the overall look, especially with 17's and the leon splitter. I know this even more now coz I snapped my splitter at the weekend so now my car looks like it's got Jimmy Hill's chin again!!

Agreed - they're make an amazing difference to the car - better handling, no more nose dip on hard braking, should be OEM IMHO.

Wonder how much real difference putting on the matching Koni shocks will make, when the time comes that the OEM ones have given up under the extra stress caused by the Eibachs?????

Cheers
Bas

Well I've just taken some pics of it now - available on

themightygez - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Bet you can tell which ones were taken today!!! I've been there and done the pikey look with previous cars and am hoping this is spot on - only other mods are ARB, remap and brakes so what you see now is how it will be when finished! - I am lways open to further suggestions though!

P.S you'll be glad to know that the lights are pretty much back to standard - I have no idea why I had lexus lights!!

There is a thread in the group buys which has centre caps and steering wheel badges going which is worth a shout!

Am already looking to up to the 18in audi wheels but need to look at all the threads first about if they will fit ok and rubbing etc.

I'll be starting a new thread on that in the next few days but any thoughts or experiences would be very muchg appreciated!

Happy New Years!

I've just had a look at the ones I have sitting here. They're 55mm across?

Anyway, I've got six of them - give me a PM if you're interested. As new, never been fitted, still with their backing paper on.
