Default London independant skoda mechanic

Hi, I bought a fabia a few months ago and after a few weeks the engine warning light came on. I took the car to a local garage and had the oil and coolant changes which made the light go off. Unfortunatly it was back on again after about 15 minutes. It seemed like it came on when I reved a bit too high at a traffic light.

Anyway, I have looked through some other posts on here and a lot of people say that going to a skoda dealer is not the best and that you should go to an independant, who will still have all the diagnostic stuff.

If anybody knows of an independant in london who they have used before and is good I would be greatful if you could let me know as I have a fear of being ripped off by mechanics. Specifically, west london near hammesmith or anywhere within a few miles.

Thanks for your help

I wouldn't say Skoda dealers are not normally the best, however they generally charge more than an independent.

The fault code can be read by anyone with VAG-COM, you may even be able to find a local Briskodian who will do it for you for beer money But thats your first step, get the fault code read - you never know it might be simple problem
