| Not to sure if i have posted in the right directory We have a Fabia 1.4 comfort X reg, the car has only done 26000 miles and has only had one owner who we bought it off. Any way the problem beeing, when we test drove it no problem, a week later we noticed the steering going occasionaly stiff when moving slowley. The power steering light came on but has now gone. Nnow have a new problem with the EPC light on all the time. Just another little thing when the car is idling the revs jump up and down on there own. I hope this isnt going to be an expensive fault, can any body advise. |

| EPC could be a problem with throttle body if the idle is unstable. Need a fault code check to be sure, are you brake lights working?

| “EPC” is the abbreviation of Electronic Power Control. If during engine operation faults are detected in the Electronic throttle system, the engine control unit switches on the EPC lamp and stores this fault in the fault memory. In the event of a line interruption or a fault in the Electronic throttle system the engine switches to emergency operation. In emergency operation the engine runs at increased speed so that the customer is able to reach the next workshop. However, the accelerator pedal position senders no longer operate |

| Sounds like mine I have noticed the revs jumping at Junctions especially when the headlights are on and the engine sounds louder and a bit rougher. I just put it down to the steering sensor as it only seems to happen when the lights are on. I have a brake light out at the moment what effect does this have. |

| Sounds like an issue with the throttle body or the pedal, a fault code check will help.
