Default European speedo conversion - Fabia

Hi everyone,

I'm newby and have a few questions to put to anyone who might know the answer.

I have imported my 2004 Fabia Combi (1.2l) from Europe. I have get some work done to allow it to be registered here. The main problem is the speedo which must be changed to show mph and or kmph. Is there a cheap way of doing this without installing a new dash assembly (£400!!!?) I'm thinking of maybe a dash mounted digital speedo or something.

The next problem is the headlamps which have to be changed as the Skoda dealer here reckons they can't be adjusted to dip to the left. Is the there any cheap way of doing this? Maybe a swap for my European ones?

Any ideas would be gratefully received. If it all becomes too hard I will sell it and buy a RHD car.

I will look in tomorrow (using internet cafes and public libraries until we get the internet at home).

Thanks in advance.

It might be worth dropping Stu a PM, he has a source for some of these parts.

Headlights I would go for a scrapyard to get a lowish price, perhaps Jason (devonutopia) can recommend a good one as he's done a fair bit of work on his car
