Has anyone fitted a 2nd boot lamp in a Fabia estate? There is a blanking plate on the right hand side where a lamp could go and I was wondering if the wiring was already there too. Thanks.

Hi, I found the same thing, my previous estate had two lights but not the new one. The wiring's been deleted so you need to cable round from the existing one on the left (as you look in), it's not difficult, once you get the trim out of the road, and I ordered a 2nd fitting from the local dealer.

Trust Skoda to delete the lamp AND the wiring! Still at least it has the 12V socket in the boot and a refrigerated glove box, unlike my 54 plate Bora. I'm sure that both of these items were fitted to earlier models.

Cheers Jon! Cost down exercises are OK on Nissans and Toyotas etc. 'cos I'll never buy one. Not so funny on quality machinery like ours although it does give me an excuse to tinker and spend money!
