| Hello Just picked up the wifes SE and we are both delighted, over the moon, very happy you get the idea She had a SAAB 95 and cant believe how much quicker the Fabia is, our other car is a V8 Beemer and I would not put down any money that it is quicker than the little pocket rocket, same kind of performance but 3 times the fuel economy The question I have is can any one with a se confirm the colour of piping around the floor mats? ie grey or blue? thanks |

| I would say they are grey. Unfortunately I've not seen the mats. But the standard car's had grey. |

| Glad you're enjoying owning the car, I've had mine a couple of weeks and it is indeed a very quick car! As for the mats, there are no specific special edition mats, I've had to make do with normal VRS mats which have a grey / white piping which would match the normal colour seats of a VRS. Hope this helps. |

| Thanks very much could not remember when I viewed a customers car at the dealers a few weeks back if the had blue piping or if I had said it would have been better with blue piping. Was starting to think the dealer had swapped my mats - must learn not to be as suspicious1 Thanks for the replies |

| They are just the normal mats - ie grey with the vRS logo on them. But they screw down which is a bonus ![]()

| Yes I know...I'm just poiting out it's a good feature. I think all their mats screw down, but when I had a mondeo it used to ride up under my pedals and was pretty dangerous

| Has anyone bothered to look into if anyone does the same mat with blue piping? I think it would look really smart with the blue paint job and leather! any thoughts ? |

| I think it wouldn't be noticed after a while. Blue would dirt up really quick. |

| Blue wouldn't dirt up any quicker than grey though! ![]() My local carpet shop offered to bind the edges of my old ones for a fiver a mat, on the condition I removed the original binding. I chose not to bother. |

| Blue would be half way there. A bit damp, they'd look black. |

| Can you not get 'Autostyle' mats any more? , they used to make them up with custom logos etc , and binding of your colour choice , I had a set made up for my Capri 280 Brooklands.

| I rather like the plastic rubber ones with a lip around edge. Stops and water or other stuff getting on to carpets like a saucer type edge. |

Were the cost of the front mudflaps expensive? Did you order them from Aberdeen? If you don't mind, pop past and let me see your boot mat thingy as I may get one - sounds like a good idea - especially for a boot that gets in the state yours does! I'll do all your VAG-Com re-coding at the same time, if you like.

| Cheers Garry, I'll have a look at your boot mat and make my mind up. Mudflaps sound good though. See you soon...
