| Briskodian | fabia thermostat hi all, had some good advice from rico4urs, car would not start very well, so as adviced had new coolent sensor fitted, all well but now notice the temp, stayes low all the way to work, 3 miles approx, after 3 miles goes to half way, and stayes there, that seems ok but car is drinking a lot of fuel, about 28 to gallon, i have not had the car long, is this normal winter running for the fabia classic 1400 8v engine, i hope not, should i have a new stat fitted . ?. regards bob. |

| ECUless | Re: fabia thermostat Likely to be a broken thermostat, the part is around £40 and it comes with a new temperature sensor. |

| Briskodian | Re: fabia thermostat It should take about 1 mile to get up to full temperature. When I had the problem I was down to 24/25 mpg and I only manage to get 28mpg now it's fixed but I do all town driving. |
