Question Fabia VRS Jabba Sport ECU Remap

Hi, has anyone got the custom jabba sport remap? i know the increase in performance in terms of power figures.

But can anyone tell me what the 0-60mph, 0-100 might be afterwards... also top speed etc, i was just wondering whether getting the remap was justifiable.

I will try and give you a decent answer mate.

0-60 at Elvington I did in 6.64 in my Jabba'd Fabia, 0-100 14.84, terminal speed was 95 mph.

Performance will undoubtably be loads better, but you need to factor in insurance, the initial outlay, and the extra wear and tear on the engine & the fact you WILL need to upgrade the brakes & suspension to cope with the extra power.

That 0-100 is very fast, almost unbelieveable as it's over 1s faster than a CTR. Also how come the terminal speed is lower than 100? or is that the terminal speed for a 1/4mile run? and you went on to time the 0-100?

Forget the 0-60 & 0-100 times. These are for sales brochures & car mags.
It's the 30-50 & 50-70 times that really matter.

Blimey, that is quick, how was that measured if you don't mind me asking and was the car standard appart from the remap or did you have other go faster goodies ??

Cheers.

Re: Fabia VRS Jabba Sport ECU Remap

I had my 07 Plate vRS Custom Remapped last week at Jabbasport and I must say its fantastic. It was bloody quick before, and now its unearthly.

The got mine to 172BHP, they said it was slightly limited by the clutch and the fact it was struggling to breath at about 3,000RPM. (I am guessing a PD160 Intake Pipe would fix that).

I am not really sure what the 0-60 time is, but I'd hazard a guess as to say its around 7 seconds. The only problem I find is getting the power down initially. First and second do tend to break away rather easily, especially on poor roads.

But as Jon TDI said, IMO the 30-50 time is where you really, really feel it. This is delt with extremely quickly. It seriously only feels like a second. So yes, I would without a doubt recommend it.

I completely agree. Not sure where those times have come from, but.. 0-60 forget, 0-100 is .. around 20 seconds for a Remapped Fabia vRS.

0-100 in 14 seconds, is the same as a 250hp Impreza and a second quicker than a CTR. Also faster than a remapped LCR etc etc..., which would completely run off from a Fabia.

Dont know if your getting mixed up there buddy?, are you trying to say ur quarter mile time was 14.84sec @95mph. 0-100 in 14.84 sounds very quick for the little furb.

Well that depends on how much you want to go faster

TBH the cost of most remaps does give a good value performance mod especially considering to get the same gains on a Mini Copper it would cost a hell of a lot more.

Let's not get into the habit of taking the 'Mick' out of a Mini Officer.

Re: Fabia VRS Jabba Sport ECU Remap

sorry should of explained, it was timed at elvington, no rear seats, 1/4 of a tank.

it did the 1/4 mile in 14.84 at a terminal speed of just shy of 95 mph, can't find the readout that I have been looking for to show you. I still reckon a remapped Fabia vRS could see 100 mph in around 18 ish seconds if you had a decent remap on a good engine to begin with & no back seats.

The 0-60 time was suprising I must admit.

BUT IT BROKE. SO I SOLD IT. THE END.
