Wink Fabia vRS seatbelt

Does anybody have to slide their seatbelts back,bad returning?

Yes. It was the same on my old Fabia TDI too. Worse in winter (congealed grease?)

Common complaint yes.

Fault with the belt? Not allways,

Fluff builds up on the belt from your clothing and gets stuck in the loop at the top and in the guide behind the trim. This adds enough friction to slow the belt down. Its in you owners manual to keep belts clean and free from dirt etc with regular maintenance,

mine doesnt sometime but I usually find I have either trapped it in the door or its twisted near the bottom.

Fair comment, but I don't think the manual says how to keep them clean. Is it just a case of picking the fluff out of the retraction slot with tweezers? You don't use any wet cleaners on seatbelts do you?

It does give an outline how to clean them, iirc clean soapy water or something.

I only know this as there has alot of belts been changed under warranty that have been rejected due to fluff. Cleaned a fair few since and it does work.
