Default Fabia vRS.. Why so much!?

My li'll MPi Fabia will hopefully be upgraded to a vRS one day, but looking at the prices of a second hand vRS's..... WHAT'S GOING ON!!

I understand it a popular car, but a year old one with 10.000 miles on the clock for 11.495. Or a '53' reg'd one with 30K for 9000.
I know they hold their value's quite well, but these prices just seem daft to me.... why would anyone pay so much, when it's not much more for a brand new one?

With prices like this, I can see me getting an Ibiza instead, but I'd really like another Fabia, as I've really come to love it in the 3+ years i've had it.

Had a couple of these, Skoda build is better - however I am comparing the vRS to the 1.2 model Ibiza.

The latest Cupras also hold their money - rare as rocking horse poo though!

Supply and demand, lots of people wanting the car so prices hold up well.
Prices could go either way with the new fabia coming soon and vRS out of production, either they start dropping, or because demand is still high prices will stay high.

They have gone up in value by 2% (over 3 years value) in the last month (53% from 51% (Auto Express)

Know what you mean, i bought my Black VRS 5 months ago 53 plate, leather seats and REVO re-mmap already doen for £7,800 with 59k on the clock! like everone is saying, people just dont want to sell, they are rediculously economical for the performance rewards and do cheap to ensure. They are fantastic little cars and i love it!
