| Front door courtesy/warning lights Is there any (easy) way of rigging the door courtesy lamps so they can be switched off? The interior lamps and boot lamp are supposed to turn off automatically after about 30 minutes according to the handbook (and the interior lights are switchable anyway of course) but the door lamps go on until the battery goes flat - really useful if you're working on the interior and need to leave the doors open for an extended period of time! |

| Re: Front door courtesy/warning lights Yes, taking the fuse out is the obvious one, thanks for that, never occured to me. doh! There isn't a conventional door switch to tape shut on cars with cental locking, I think the switch is somewhere in the door lock. Probably being a bit over cautious anyway, reassuring to know there's a good safety margin in the battery. |
