Default Getting leathered

Said hello on the "introduce yourself" forum yesterday and mentioned that I'm getting leather fitted in two weeks' time at Seat Surgeons. Any tips on what to look out for from you guys who have already had it done? Anything to mention when I take the car in, or to do after it's been fitted?

I will be seeing them as well !! I saw a fabia yesterday that had the Seat surgeon job done on it, and really well impressed. The 'boss' in york has been on holiday and is back monday, so i was told by a young lady whom I spoke to when I rang them last week !! I understood the price if you quoted this site was £790. The good lady i spoke to did not confirm this price and thought it 'might' have gone up !! Anyway we shall see. Transformed the car I saw !!

If you phone them and ask for Paul, mention my name and he should sort you out. Let me know if the price has gone up.

They have fitted about 50 Fabias with leather, so would have ironed out any problems.
I had mine done last week, in black, with holed black centres, burgandy stitching and the VRS logos. Spot on!!
It transforms the car.
This includes the door cards too, which I am told is not done as a leather option from Skoda.

Thanks for the comments everyone, any more?

Nottyash: thought about the burgundy stitching, but have chosen the bright red. Think it will coordinate well with the red (dial) needles and red in the logos, hazard button, seatbelt sockets. I too am having the perforated centre panels and vRS logos. I've also ordered matching mats from Autostyle: black with red leatherette binding plus the vRS logo. Glad you're pleased with the results.

No, the Skoda leather does not include the door cards, and it's c.£500 more expensive!

Oh, I have a red car, and thought the bright red stitching would be too bright, but now I think it would look fine.
Mine is a bit more consevative in burgandy.

Just a tip from me phone up the day before you are booked in cause when I go there the leather had not come and I ended up with a different colour to what I wanted. Didnt mind in the end also check the plastic cover where the window opening switch is mine got busted and I didnt notice till after.

Other than that I can recommend.
