| My Fabia 1.4 has a really girly sounding horn note. Is this normal, or is there something wrong with mine? Yesterday was the first time I've ever used it, and I felt ashamed. ![]() Is there anyway to tinker with the horn unit to make it sound a little bit more gruff?

| Fit a different horn? You can buy them at most motor factors.

| Girly? Is it an Elegance? My 1.4 Elegance has a great horn, proper rasp!.. not a beep! Maybe the elegance gets a better horn too? (if yours isn't an elegance, that is).. previous car was a donated 1.4 1993 Escort L.. .. now that WAS an embarrassing horn! "beip!".. still, no matter.. was an embarrising car to match! |

| Pretty sure the horn on my Fabia was a bit girly. Halfords sell replacement ones or you might find one of the bigger Skoda's has a two-tone twin trumpet horn which will sound a bit more manly ![]() Chris

| Early on - I had one horn bite the dust, replaced under warranty. Sounded totally hilarious - SWMBO died laughing at the time. You can get good cheap Italian horns that just plug in where the OEM ones sit - think they're called FIAMM (???)
