Hammerite smooth green paint heat resistant?

I'm going to paint my brakes green and I've noticed that some of you have mentioned using hammerite smooth green paint. Is this heat resistant? Presumably temperatures could get quite high down there? Would I be better going for Foliatec paint?

i used hammerite smooth green and had a trackday at knockhill at the weekend, my wheels were so hot the metal must of expanded a bit and the centre cap fell out, you couldnt touch them with your hand.

My calipers are still a nice shade of green(and brake dust), not melted paint so i would be confident to reccomend the hammerite

I used silver Hammerite on my last car (not wanting to look like a VRS wannabe) and it survived many track days and "spirited" drives

My calipers are all burnt looking after 29 laps of the ring. No it isn't heat resistant .

Oops, is there any alternative? Do Foliatec do a similar green paint which is heat resistant?

At least with hammerite you can rub them down a bit and give them another coat - its cheap enough stuff at around £10 for a huge one litre tin.

Is it the price in B&Q and the usual places? Keep meaning to pick some up, so I can paint my 312 calipers when I order them...

Painted my track wheels with hammerite smooth...

...Now have hammerite melted ripple effect finish on them!!

Another option could be fireplace paint - designed for high temperatures...
