Insurance for a remapped vRS

I have a vRS which currently has a full SS exhaust on which is insured with Adrian Flux, I am going to be getting it remapped in the next few months when I have decided who I want to do it. I have just had my insurance renewal through and thought that I would ask for a quote with the remap
, firstly they said that they couldnt insure me and then they said that the could at £1400 with a £500 excess.

My insurance with the exhaust is currently £500 with Adrian Flux and and really supprised at this quote. I have 8 years NCB, No accidents, points or convictions and the car is kept in the drive?? and I am 30.

I have had a quote of £680 from Firebond if I go with a SuperChip, but they will only insure me with a superchip remap and no other remaps.

I have had a quote from elephant this comes in at just under £800 but then I can get pritty much any remap I want.

What sort of insurance prices do people pay for remapped vRS's.

Can anyone suggest a good cheep insurance company that i could try.

Just got a quote from Chris Knott, they have quoted me £450 as is and £550 with the remap up to 175bhp.

Greenlight insurance didnt charge me anything extra for any mod I declared, so it was 1300 with no mods and 1300 with mods.
