| Koni FSD - Do they really make a difference?? I've had my Fabia now for 2.5 years now and I said to myself that I wasn't going to spend any more money on the car as I might replace it, usually within 3 years. I recently got some new 17" RS6 replica alloys to replace my kerbed 17" Octy vrs alloys and it has rekindled enthusiasm for this car! They simply look superb IMO and I now want to address another niggle of mine since getting Eibach springs fitted which is the ride quality! I got the Eibachs fitted at Jabbasport nearly 2 years ago now and asked for them to trim the bump stops when fitting like a few suggested here on this site at the time. I also have the JabbaSport rear ARB fitted also. Jabbasport assured me that it was not neccesary and no one has ever complained about suspension hitting the bump stops, so I took thier advice. My suspension regularly hit the bump stops every time I drive over a bump at medium/high speed which obviously didn't happen before! Jabbasport is a 2.5/3 hour drive away, so I haven't taken it back to get them to do it. I really want to do something about it now. I assume that it's a big job to remove all the suspension parts just to trim the bump stops so I wondered if I could kill 2 birds with one stone and change the dampers to Koni FSD at the same time. The question is - do these FSD really make a difference to the ride? Has anyone had eibachs with std. shocks and then changed to FSD? How comfortable is the eibach/FSD combo? Do the FSD shocks alone improve the handling or have most of you got it fitted together with Eibachs so you don't really know the improved effects of the FSD on it's own? Should I just get the bump stops trimmed on my car or get the FSD's fitted? PS Those with FSD, does the shocks come with it's own trimmed down bump stops or did they have to be trimmed as they were designed for std height fabia which is less than the -10mm (vRS) - 25mm (Eibach) of my car? Any advice is welcome

| Re: Koni FSD - Do they really make a difference?? Koni FSDs are better than the Eibach dampers, which in turn are better than the standard ones. IMHO it's worth the extra cash ![]()

| Re: Koni FSD - Do they really make a difference?? Hello ![]() I can assist with most of those points. Having had my first vRS on Eibachs and std shocks I can confirm that the ride is far more compliant this time round with FSDs - less fidgety if that helps! I had JKM fit both Eibachs and FSDs to my current vRS and no mention was made of trimming bump stops. As I've said before, it's the best modified suspension setup I've ever ran. Firmer overall, of course and can get caught out by potholes more than the OEM setup, but that's to be expected. I don't think you'd be disappointed. Clearly if you were nearer Manchester you could have a demo ![]() Steve

| Re: Koni FSD - Do they really make a difference?? No probs. Seems a decent price that, yes. For info I paid £600 fitted for the Eibachs and Konis, on the JKM group buy. Where is the price from? Not got a feel for labour cost on them, maybe 20-30mins per corner? So perhaps £100 fitting? Just thinking out loud ![]() Steve
