| I have had my skoda fabia for 9 months, it was great for the first 7 but now I feel that I need another car not fabia Little things keep going then it cost me 400 to get everything sorted. Today all my brake lights have gone down, I have changed the fuse, changed the bulbs everything I really feel that I should now sell and get rid of. I loved this car because it drives good loves the motorway. Good on deisal |

| If your standards are so high your considering changing car over brake lights god help the next manufacturer! As babs said have a search for brake light switch, fairly common and reasonably inexpensive to fix.

| Thats not on! Must be able to argue on safety grounds there. Surely the spring will not be seated properly?

| to add to my woes, on the way back from s meeting yesterday on the M6 I felt the car wobbling I lost power, my engine was over reving, and I could not go faster than 50 lucky enough i was by the services in corley. I manged to get the car home to a garage to have it all checked over, they came back to me this morning and quoted 900 pound, The Clutch has gone, the suspension is bent down to be fixed badly last time. my breaks need diong fair enough. Tracker bars are bent (only just had the tracking checked) lower bush arm bent and bush gone. I feel so bad I have never spent this much money on any car. I had a rover before this one for three years and all I spent was the cost of the mot all but things that have to be done at intervals such as your brakes. |

| The dealer sold you a car not fit for purpose (the suspension was defective). You gave them a chance to fix it so on that note make sure you get a report for the cause of all the damage then IMHO speak to a solicitor who will be able to advise on starting court proceedings against them. On that note I would advise against naming and shaming until you have spoken to a solicitor as it may affect your case.

| - that said, the clutch and brakes could just be bad luck, but the clutch especially will transform the car when replaced because it probably was slipping, just not enough to notice, when you bought it. |

| I have got onto the finanace company today and explianed to them every thing that is wrong with the car, it states in my contract that if the car becomes un roadworthy I can have a replacement or a refund so at the moment they are dealing with it as the garage has stated that I cannot have my car back due to it being not road worthey |

| Finance companies can be very useful in these situations so it's certainly worth getting on to them.

| O Joy I got my car back today it is running like a dream cannot beleive its the same car. Had a thorough overhall found out the main cause of the clutch failure the breaks were stuck on so they have fighting with the clutch for 9 months but all is now very good |

| Well, the brake siezure could happen to pretty much any car, particularly if it was standing outside for several months. I don't think it's fair to blame Skoda for that, but it is fair to blame the dealer for the time taken to diagnose the problem. |
