| today our lasses fabia tdi wudnt start. she had been using it and called at her mates, came out ten minutes later and found speedo display still showing, tried to start and nothing happened . i gets home from work and has a look,when ignition is turned on warning lamps flash and relays click behind dash. ive checked battery voltage (12.3v) tried to jump start ,ignition lamps stay on and engine tries to turn over but wont spin fast enough and dies . any body any ideas cos i realy cant afford dealer prices and when i am a mechanic myself ,be it trucks, i would sooner try to repair it myself Any body with an exact prognossis my number is 07766112615, I will call u back cheers steve

| I would recommend finding someone in your area with vagcom. Get a scan done as this should point to where there is some form of voltage drop. So the battery is 100% ok is it? The dash is not going blank when it attempts to crank over? A scan should sort it. Would offer myself but I'm a long way from Doncaster.

| ive put the battery on charge over nite and will see what happens in morning before i go to work. she will have to get her push bike out or walk to work ![]()

| If jump start from good source (engine running) and slow turn over suggests poor starter connection and/or earth. Whilst checking look at the fusible links on top of the battery. Mine looked OK but had loosened. Best of luck V |
