PD160 Intake

No. It's not another thread of, Where i can get one from, or How i fit it/How much HP it will give me.
I've had mine fitted for a few months now, and i've 'chopped off' the deflector thingy, and sealed all holes with insulation tape. So, it is getting full air!
When it is all sealed up, you can really feel a difference, but only for a day or two, as the insulation tape just peels away and becomes lose. I was thinking of an alternative... Which has to be black, Has anybody else done what i've done? I was thinking about Black Gaffer Tape (Heavy Duty and tougher).

Power duck tape or self amalgamating waterproof stuff.

Re: PD160 Intake

If you open your bonnet and look into the grille, you will see a deflector which 'deflects' the air.
You can chop bits of this off to more readily deflect air towards your air intake.
Buy a stanley knife and some plasters.

Re: PD160 Intake

I used a funny shaped Hacksaw. To chop it off. Tonight, i've spent most of the night using Black Gaffer tape, and used loads of it. Look's kind of tacky, but can feel a very slight difference now. I'll take it on the motorway soon to see if it holds ok.
