Dont buy any cheapo clamp on jobs or you will regret it later. They sell on ebay all the time for less than £40.

The Thule bars which fit on the fix points are good but are more expencive than the genuine Skoda bars from a dealer.

The Skoda bars are made by Mont Blanc, www.montblanc.se www.montblancuk.co.uk they are an excellent fit, strong and secure.
My local dealer quoted £90 all in.

Cheers

I got the genuine Skoda Bars a couple of weeks ago and mine are Thule. They are the ones that go into the fix points and are lockable.

Part number LAA 071 002

It seems like Skoda have more than one supplier then.

The ones in the picture are identicle to those I have for the Octy and Furby, both are badged as Skoda bars but are manufactured by Mont Blanc. Worked out well for me as I've been able to get a set of locks to match my Mont Blanc Barracuda Cycle Carriers.

Cheers

Default Thule

I looked at the thule bars and didn't like the fit as they seem to have an additional clamp that goes further down onto the door frame. All the Skoda pictures I have seen have fixings only onto the roof slots (MontBlanc ??).
Full kit from Thule comes as bars, footpack and clamps no.4307 £70 delivered.
Mont Blanc kit is no.2500, £85 delivered

I just had to sell my Golf/Passat ones as they dont fit. If you have Thule 751 bars you could buy the rest of the kit to convert them for the Skoda.

Thats if you buy from Halfrauds etc mate. The Thule ones I have are for the Fabia roof fixing points.

I dont have fitted pics but I can take pics of the feet etc if you want.

Default Skoda/Thule

They look just like the ones Skidrive are doing for £70 delivered.
Anyone found a better price for a set than that ( before I order some )

These are the other thule ones I was on about. They seem to have an additional tie-bar between the feet

I paid less than that for mine

It's difficult to see in the pictures but yes I think you are right they clip on the roof too.

Edit - Just looked up SkiDrive and they don't show a picture so I would want to confirm that they aren't the same as the Halfruads/Flebay ones with the extra feet. If thats what you don't want.

Default Roofbar fitment

Fitted mine today, not sure if they work yet as they will be put into action on Sunday.
Mine don't look the best in the world close up http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...s/IMG_0014.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...s/IMG_0013.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...s/IMG_0012.jpg

Made up of 760 bars,750 foot pack and 3003 adaptor for the Skoda fixpoint roof, all Thule.
How does this compare to the other systems out there

That looks pretty much the same system as the genuine Skoda basic roof rack- which im dead impressed with. How much did the Thule stuff cost in total?

If you're not bothered about the lockableness then you can get proper clamp-in to the mounty-point bars from here for about thirty quid.
