Seat Covers for a VRS

I collect my VRS tomorrow and could do with some seat covers as I think that the light grey will get dirty very quickly.

Does any one know of any decent covers that fit well???

This has been covered quite a bit. You should find some threads in the search.

Re: Seat Covers for a VRS

I know tell me about it, I get picky as to what people are wearing when they get in mine.

Snap on ones look good if your only after the front two

Simon, try 303 Fabric Protection here. Supposed to be excellent, and I've just bought some

Re: Seat Covers for a VRS

Not used it yet as I want to be sure that I have got the seats fully clean before using it, so I dont seal any marks into the fabric. I will hopefully be trying it in the next couple of weeks (nice weather forcast to dry them) so will update then.

Re: Seat Covers for a VRS

Well I looked around on other, mainly US, sites at the excellent feedback of this 303 stuff and decided I couldn't wait as my vRS was only a week old and wanted to protect the seats as soon as possible.

I got the large size (32oz) from 303 High Tech Fabric Guard and it was dispatched very quickly.

I did it on a hot day and only did the light coloured 'suede' bits and I used about half of the large size doing all of the seats - they soak it up like a sponge! I think you might just about do it with the small size, but do the 'important' ones first in case you run out near the end. I left the car in the afternoon sun for about 4 hours and overnight, so about 18hrs drying in total.

So far everything is absolutely fine, but I guess you never know how dirty it would have got without this protection!

Hope this is of some help.

If you didn't want waterproof (which would make you sweat like a beast) what else is there out there?

My dad has these covers in his Ford Ranger and they don't feel very breathable if you know what I mean

Re: Seat Covers for a VRS

Just to let you have an update on the 303 Fabric Protector that I applied a month ago...

My lovely daughter seems to have left a brown stain on the light coloured suede bit of the rear seats in my vRS...

A quick wipe with a damp cloth and it came 'clean orff', said like Dirty Harry with his Magnum!

So far it's thoroughly recommended.

Re: Seat Covers for a VRS

Applied some Diamondbrite jewelultra to my seats when I got it from new, over 3 years later and NO seat covers (just cannot understand why people put seat covers on) they are as good as new, no messing.

Provided you dont sit in your car eating pies and drinking fizzy pop you'll be fine. And yes, I have two kids before anyone asks.
