| I found the Fabia almost impossible to stall, and after I fitted the tuning box, I could actually pull away in 1st just by lifting the clutch (and not giving it any gas!). Not quite as good as the Disco which could actually pull you up an incline without touching the pedals ![]() Chris

| I've done it when the Aircon has been on and I've tried to pull away thinking I was in first but really I was in second. My mum has stalled it in the middle of a busy roundabout that was urm.................fun ![]()

| I fint the vRS stalls very easily for a diesel, but only once - bloody violent affair! You do get lazy though, crawling onto roundabouts in 4th etc because used to having torque then crawling over the line... ![]()

| Briskodian | I have found the fabia vrs throttle has a fairly long travel, you need to press it down quite a bit just to get 1500rpm

| I've stalled it a couple of times - trying to make a quick getaway with not enough revs... I don't like it when it stalls. You get a mighty thud and its reluctant to start... Horrible, sounds like your really hurting the engine! Fine now though as I'm now used to the car...

| oh and people also say you get better performance if you feed in the gas rather than stomping it the 2 things could be linked with lag in the fbw system ??

| I noticed the Fabia compared to the 172 is alot more responsive on the throttle, I think the FBW is alot better. I would of suggested maybe there is an intermitent fault with the FBW, maybe a vagcom checkup is in order ?
