| Re: standard headunit and ipod Yep, you can buy the vw ipod lead (or a dension ice link). See piccys here. Both kits are around £100, and are a plug and play jobby. The adaptor has been talked about here before. |

You dont need to create play lists You dont need a degree in computer programming to work it You can use any make of mp3 player as it works from the headphone socket It only costs £30 Connects2 CTVSKX001 £29.99. Aux Adapter - Skoda Fabia / Octavia. Grundig MS402 / MS501 / MS502 / Symphony. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Hope this helps. | Briskodian | Re: standard headunit and ipod You conrol the tracks etc. from the mp3 player and the volume from the head unit. When I first got the car I wanted to control the ipod from the head unit but after trying the Dension/VW icelink and the Alpine ipod head unit I found it easier to control the tracks from the MP3 player, others might say differerent, but this is my choice. Thats the good thing about this forum, lots of users with lots of experiences. |

| Re: standard headunit and ipod I use the VW one, cost me about £85 plus postage. Dead easy to fit once you have got the head unit out.... Controls aren't brilliant, if you have five playlists set up the 1-5 buttons work to control those playlists, 6 plays everything on the ipod in the order it wa loaded in. If you press 6 and random (on the head unit) it picks from the whole ipod and then you can usnelect random and it will play the whole album. I'ts basically got similar functionality to a 6 cd changer but you can have loads more music.
