| Went on the scn awesome rolling road day today, and the conclusion i have drawn is some blt engined fabia's are garret turbo equipped as the kkk would have blown ages ago with these numbers, power isn't that great at 173bhp at the flywheel 162bhp at the wheels and a monster 346 ft lbs ![]() heres the sheet ![]()

| At least your clutch will cope with that.

| id hope you had no DMF problems considering you havent got one ![]() Some good figures, there, your peak torque is impressive Theres less transmition losses with your flywheel too. when mine ran 171bhp on the same rollers only 152 went to the wheels

| Will be interested to know if I have the same lack of transmission losses as well. The clutch Gary and myself run does feel like you're directly in contact with the tyres. ![]()

| Someone laughed when i posted up my rr at 173.5bhp and 342lb-ft of torque, where was your car mapped? Mines is a Star map on a KKK turbo (think - 04)

| Bit of a thread kidnapper - what's the standard percentage for loss between transmission and wheels for a FWD?

| well its strange but on the run down this does seem to be the case, who knows, maybe i have over 180bh at the fly ![]() I actually think that the 4kg billit ally smf instead of the 28kg dmf plays a large part in this, tho saying that my losses wern't that high last time first time on awesomes rollers(standard) ![]() second time after mods ![]() make what you can of that then ![]()

| A quick search on the web reveals this... sounds about right from my experience at various Rolling Roads to be honest. Transmission Loss: usually no more than 15% of the flywheel power for FWD vehicles and no more than 17% for RWD ones. A good guide is to deduct 10% of the flywheel figure plus another 10 bhp for FWD and 12% plus 10 bhp for RWD |

| 10% of 173bhp = 17.3 + 10bhp equal's a rough transmission loss of 27.3bhp giving 145.7bhp @ the Wheels. I had a Helix SMF clutch fitted in mine just over a week ago so as soon as its bedded im planning on going to my local Rolling Road to see if its made any difference. Will let you know the result Its just that 11bhp got me... Seen so many Power graphs but never anything that low unless your running a trick gearbox. Sorry for going off topic by the way. |

maybe not,i'm not too fussed by the flywheel figure,as we all know s only a calculation, its the wheel figure thats important, and the fact it made more power than last time after a few mods so i'm going in the right direction![]() Have to see what sort of 1/4 mile time i can get now,as i can put all that power down with no loss of traction, and can launch in second with no fear of destroying the clutch ![]()

| Hmm before now I was 100% certian that Skoda didnt fit the Garret to the Fabia ASV. usually the Garret is fitted to the Golf/Octavia platform as the Garret has the different compressor housing alignment.
