Why "remould" it? i dont fancy farting about with the side bumper vent. The "arch mod" let the hot air pass out as the cold air is rammed in, without detouring it. If you get a vent that "directs" the air out to the side then there would be minial positive pressure as the hot air is being pushed away from the wheel

I can tell you that it does work and work well.

Find a car that has the mod, turn the aircon on and hold your hand round by the vent. The amount of air expelled is amazing especially as it would all normally be just floating round in your bay.

Also its safe to run a Vt2 with OEM IC, will just be laggy and smoke a tad, thats why im improving the SMIC atm, so its not as bad, then in time i'll fit FMIC and get remapped

Re: Stealth Pikey Arch Mod

I ran a custom code stage 1 (generic map for OEM turbo and SMIC) on mine with the Forge FMIC and TD Stage 1 hybrid - no problem whatsoever, lag was minimal. Later I had a stage 2 hybrid + map for that hardware done, and the lag/smoke was less for sure, but without the 2nd map it was still very much driveable (and fun).

The stage 2 will not have any problems running at the requested boost levels of a generic map, it will run cooler as it doesnt have to work as hard to get the same boost levels/volumes either, plus it has time to settle onto the engine with a mild map before pushing it

See I found the complete opposite.

My car wouldnt run with the stage 2 and genric map that was on the car previously. It would constantly go into limp mode when you accelerated.

Cheers dude thats the plan, just to get the reliability there of the Stage 2, bed it in a bit then go for bigger power

Im only really after around 200 bhp so as the reliabilty is there
