| Hi all, getting bored with my suspension now and need to upgrade to something decent. At the moment I'm running standard dampers with Eibach springs (un-shortened bump stops) and also have a Jabba ARB on the rear but now I'm used to it it just doesn't seem to work that well now. Basically I'm after something that really transforms the handling but without knocking my teeth out on every drive. At the moment I'm considering the Koni FSD's with the Eibach springs I already have but then I'm wondering about bump stop length etc. i.e. do I use my original ones and cut them down or do the Koni's come supplied with upgraded ones. Don't want to have to mess about, just want a kit I can fit without cutting bits up plus see cutting the bump stops as a bit of a bodge if you know what I mean. The next choice is coilovers, either H&R or KW which obviosly gives me the choice of ride height too, but will they make the car uncomfortable over uneven roads? Also they're pretty expensive. My preference is the KW's for about £650 (a good £100 less than H&R) and I don't mind fitting them myself to keep the cost down, though I'll need to spend another £50 ish on a 4 wheel alignment. Any comments/recommendations will be greatly appreciated on your own setup and how it performs etc. Many thanks, John Last edited by VeeRS; 18-06-2006 at 23:06. |

| Ive heard that the KW coilovers are "awesome" as long as you dont go silly with the ride height ![]() altho they would be over twice the price of getting a set of FSDs to compliment the springs you have..

| I've had Eibachs 30mm lower with standard shocks then KW's V2's set generally around 35mm lower although this does change for trackdays ( -50 to -55mm ) I've had both on with standard and 312mm A3 brakes and found MY preference to be KW's with standard brakes The car doesn't tramline but is harsh over potholes, the main difference is braking performance between the two. Also a must is the Jabba rear ARB, 2nd best mod after air freshner. I'd ask around to see if anyone has tried the ARB with standard suspension. |

I have standard springs and dampers and the ARB is stupendious. It makes one hell of a difference to the yaw and roll of the vehicle making it much more drivable. Should have been fitted as standard IMHO.

| Have you thought of the Koni FSD dampers with the Eibach lowering springs? These would be a fantastic set up. The Koni FSD dampers have had nothing but great rviews. They cannot be lower by much , but the 30mm drop would be just about enough I think If you do a search there has been quite a few set ups carried out and alot of reviews have been done on here. If I can help you with anything please feel free to give me a shout back Sarah |

I take it that Awesome can fit the Koni's anyway and do the relevant mods if any so it all works very well together.
