A friend of mine competed for the first time this year and came 38th.

I couldn't go this year due to being triple booked.

Years since I was there - I was service crew for a mate with a Mini. A couple of incidents I remember - getting from Craignure to Tobermory in 20 minutes with spare parts during the day, and catching up and overtaking a competing rally car at night over the Tobermory - Dervaig (Mishnish) section after I got a call on the CB that our Mini had broken down (again!)

I was driving an E28 BMW 323i at the time

ANDY

just a thought....

I assume you'll be intending to enter under blue book K 37.1.3 which covers " more extensive modifications" ?

I've just got some info through from MSA about rally logbooks etc and for people building cars with extensive changes like changing fron FWD to RWD they suggest you contact the technical dept at MSA house and outline your plans to them and they will " be pleased to advise whether your plans are acceptable"

it would be a right bitch to do all the work them cannot get a logbook for it

pm me if any questions

Marc,

I'm not going to be using the beetle - seriously doubt it will be ready next year anyway. I don't think I'd fancy rallying something so silly.

I'll be naving in a mini - should be cosy. Also going to be doing a few sprints in the mini next year too.

Tell that to the logging lorry that left 60' marks behind

Love Mull it's so removed.

On the way to Iona for my partners sisters wedding, I was enjoying the roads as one does on a quiet morning...when just like in juggernaut it appeared and then started smokin.

I still love mull though, just want to see the eagles...3 trips and naddar, get back and find a bloody hide /sanctuary for em, typical
