| Hi I’ve got a problem with my Fabia vRS and hope those in the know on here will kindly be able to help. I took my Fabia in for its first service to my local dealer and reported a few warranty issues at the same time, one of which was the near side CV boot leaking grease quite badly. The dealer was very helpful and sorted out the warranty issues along with the service and said that they had re-crimped the boot as it was not at its full tightness. Everything was fine until it came round to cleaning the alloys the next week at which point I notices grease again on the inside of the nearside alloy. My first thought was that it was just residue so I removed the alloy and spent a good half hour cleaning round the CV area, brake calliper and cleaning the alloy (also gave me a good excuse to apply another layer of poorboys protective alloy wax). I left it for another week and again, splashes of grease were noticed on the alloy. I contacted the dealer again and they said that they would order a new boot. The car was once again booked in and this time a complete new nearside boot was fitted and off I went confident that the problem was resolved and happy with service provided by the dealership. Now last week, 1 week after the repair was competed I was cleaning the same alloy and again noticed small splashes of grease. Now, knowing that a compete new boot and retaining clips had been fitted I thought that it would just be remnants left over from the change over so I went through the same rigmarole of cleaning as before and left it until today. This afternoon I cleaned the car and guess what… yip fresh splashes of grease on the alloy. Now, first I had the boot re-crimped and then replaced and its still leaking. What could be wrong and how do I go about getting it sorted considering I have twice been told by my dealer the problem has been resolved and twice signed off the warranty sheets allowing the dealership to claim back against successful work... I’m annoyed, don’t want to keep having to book my car into the garage and my love for my vRS is depleting fast. Any advice is much appreciated. |

| With the amount of grease being lost / reapplied to that cv joint, it can't be goodfor it. That driveshaft is a short one, and I'd be tempted to ask them to fit you a new driveshaft complete, as there must be some "fault" which is causing even new cv boots to split / come loose quickly. ![]() Either that, or they've not done a "proper job" as they say down here. Edit: Don't let one CV issue let the love die. I still love mine despite the ultimate issue. ![]()

| Seeing your pic Jason reminds me of the old joke - two men get lost in a ball-bearing factory. One loses his bearings. The other gets horribly castrated. Cheers Bas
