| I reckon we should gather up a signed petition and send it to Skoda to convince them on having a type approved tow bar for Fabia RS. After all it shouldn't be too much of a problem since the normal furby tow bar fits with just a slight bumper cut. We could actually send them pictures of someones "illegal installation" of a tow bar. After all, I don't think it's Skoda's best interest to have ppl illegally installing tow bars all over europe. I'm quite sure we all know plenty of ****ed of vRS owners or would-be-vRS-owners who would sign the petition. Perhaps we could have it here at Briskoda site, should the admins want to chip in. I for one can quite easily gather 4-5 names. So if we all can get a few ppl to sign it, we should quite easily get at least 4-500 names on the list. That should count for something... - Juha |

| I will sign. ![]() When the Felicia goes I will need the Fabia to tow, I'm OK now as it's a PD100 but come chaging car time it could rule out a vRS. Cheers Lee

| It is a cost issue for the Type Approval, they may well take it up if they think there will be enough demand but I wouldn't expect an early resolution.

| I'm up for a petittition as I will eventually be fitting a tow bar to my vRS. i dont see what the problem is with getting the type approval as it the same chassis as avery other fabia and whid the powerful diesel engine it would probably make the best tow car out of the range. I'm not looking to tow a caravan with it but need to be able to tow my sailing dinghy. Even though there is this issue with type approval all the Skoda dealers I asked about towbars prior to buying the car said they fitted no problem and they would be prepared to fit one. Does anyone have any pise of a vRS fitted with a towbar and which ones fit the neatest. |

| I want the option to fit a towbar to be legal As it's the vRS I would definitely want a removable 'neck' bit though ![]()

| Same as Rikodars Came as part of the deal on the car Just a thought, is it actually illegal to have it fitted on the car or is it just illegal to use it for towing. Main use for mine is for a rack for the mountain bikes |
