| I wanted to buy a dash kit for my Fabia, but thorght them to deer for what thay are So i striped my vents and ashtray down, keyed them with wet'n'dry, and spayed then with Plasticote silver paint with a satin lacker. IMHO it looks better than the shiny bubble type plastics some companys use as a 'kit'. What do recon? ![]() |

| Not my cup of tea to be honest but then I'm 34, don't wear a shell suit, burberry or a baseball cap and my enitre collection of Bling amounts to a gold wedding band. If you like it then good for you - doesn't matter what I think.

| I thought about doing this a while ago. Not sure about the ashtray. WHat about the small demister vents on the dash?

| nah wasn't trying to be catty about it I just don't like the silver dash setup. Looks like a citroen or peugeot as said above. I like like my plain old boring black stuff.

| I would have done the demister vents, but you can't remove the from the car and i didn't fancy taking a spraycan to the dash! I would like to have an all black dash, but can't find one at the moment. One day! I'm on the look out for a half leather Recaro interier at the moment, so i might have ago spraying the gray trim if i can remove it without breaking it! ![]() |

| Its not something I'd do as I like Black, black and black (maybe some dark grey) for my interior, but I think you've done a good job by the looks from the pics! Nice one!! |

| Bobz From the look of your picture it wouldn't be too hard to sort your dash out to all black. You don't need a dashboard just a glovebox and some panels I think. There is a scrapper for parts on ebay that might help. I didn't mean to offend you with my earlier post, I hope you take it in the light hearted way it was meant.

| Hats off to you for giving it a go mate. Certainly 'freshens' the look of the dash, but not something I would attempt personally.

| VRStu, no offence taken. If you can't have a laff, what can u do? Im keen on shell suits anyway but my grand parents like them! Chavtastic! I might ask that Ebay bloke how much for the trim panels, tho i no the lower dash trim under the wheel is a real pain to take off from trying before, and not being abull too. Dose anyone no how to remove that panel? ![]() |

One thing I thought when looking at a Fabia vRS (I realise the one in the pictures isn't a vRS) recently was that it needed something extra on the dash. There's just this bland expanse of dark plastic and it needs some contrast. Especially considering the vRS is the sporty model. ![]() | |

| The dash comes out suprisingly easy as I turned mine from beige into grey and it's all just held in with T20 screws I think and then the panels overlap. Also, if you have no luck with eBay, try www.skospares.com as they supplied me with a couple of missing grey bits for my replacement dash for nowt ![]() Chris
