window regulator help

Hi all, wondering if someone can help. does anyone know how you adjust the drivers side window regulator? the windows rattling when going over uneven ground/bumps and from searching it seems the regulator is the culprit. now getting the door card off etc is no problem but when it comes to actually adjusting the regulator i havent got a clue! any help is greatly appreciated

Having recently replaced both front regulators, there is no adjustment as such, but I would check the following. Once you have removed the trim, you will see 2 large (about 50mm dia) black plastic blanking grommets. If you prise these out, wind the window down a bit, you will see the 2 clamping bolts for the window glass. Perhaps these are loose (unlikely) or they need to be slackened, glass pushed to the rear so that it's tight against the channel and then retightened. The only other adjustment is to set the one stop - close the window, let the switch go. Put the switch to close again until you hear a quiet click (about 2 secs), so that the motor circuit 'learns' where top is.
