Default wobble when blipping throttle

As a follow up to my other recent threads, I thought this would be worth noting seperatley.

I have just got my car back, all fixed, and been for a test drive. it is now smoother than it ever has been. hhhmmmm

before this, if i were to 'blip' the throttle in neutral, I would get a vibration (one big one) from the front.. (as if weight was moving, which you'd expect with a heavy engine), my car has ALWAYS been like this from the day I picked it up (with slight vibration of the gear lever, which lots of others experiance too)
this is not now the case however, if I blip the throttle in neutral, there is NO descernable movement from the front at all! it sits very still, and no vibration from the gear lever either (although this could be something else completely, cxables ect) , this is quite a big difference in the smoothness of the car, makes me think this problem was waiting to happen from day one, as I suspect my gearbox was never properly bolted down! (someone going home early on a Friday?!)

I'd be interested to hear from others (especially the driving instructors) to see if their cars move at the front when blipping the throttle in neutral!

I've got the movement too......ok, not a Furby vRS, but the same engine with 5spd box....
Given I've done 55K, 2001 reg, remaped and lowered, I ain't worried yet. I just figured it was due to the tsunami of torque.

if I blip my throttle, as in just dap so it barely even moves the revs, yeah I get engine wobble. My gear lever doesn't wobble or vibrate though, well no more than you'd expect given the cables run allong one of the exhaust shields.

What exactly happened to your car?

the car was stalled and something snapped. only two of the four bolts holding the gearbox down were present, it needed a new gerbox, mounting frame and driveshaft. I accepted the engine wobble I had as normal, and I'm not saying it isn't! but I am saying that it isn't there now ........... that just made me think... maybe its just my imagination if everyone elses car does it anyway! thats why I started this thread, just to find out

edit: out of interest, skoda said it had never come accross this happening before, so I doubt anyone needs worry, could just be a one-off....
