Re: New Fabia Body kit - pictures

Not bad, still looks like its on stilts

Bigger alloys and lowered springs and i reckon it would look good

It's amazing how small those wheels look - they're 16in! The RS is gonna need 18in to look right!

Re: New Fabia Body kit - pictures

Looks like the same kit that was spotted on a silver Fabia that was on one of those Czech auto websites.

People then thought that they had spotted the new vRS on test.

The front spoiler looks okay, but I'm not keen on the rear.

Those 'ridges' on the black bit look like they're off an old Hyundai Accent.

Just needs to be lower, I think the wheels would look fine then!

Nice subtle kit though, I like it!

Re: New Fabia Body kit - pictures

get some eibach springs on there and the bluefin tuning box and its nearly there!

thurby motors (a vx dealer) have the right idea. they are making ready made modded cars out of nearly new stock. they are then standing by the warranties too as they have fitted the modifcations. im trying to get my lot to think about something simliiar. its a great way of making your used stock stand out and get return business for your service depts

Looks much better with the side skirts. You/your dealer should have specced the sunset glass (or did you?)

Given the tyres seem to be missing at the tops of the wheels, I'd say it's a chop.

Re: New Fabia Body kit - pictures

The kit looks subtle and understated in true Skoda fashion.

16s look purposefull. They might handle pants with anything bigger as most cars do. Also those brake calipers and discs look small inside the 16inch rims, would look silly with the larger gap from bigger wheels. Bigger rims would make the car pretentious and just like all the other cars on the road. Everything rides on 17s-18s now. A set of smaller, but wider rims maintains some character and will actually improve handling, but each to thier own.

The rear bumper seems to have a diffuser built in, on high performance cars such as evos and M3s the diffuser helps stop the rear end from lifting at very high speeds, maybe its just a cosmetic feature of the kit, but again it looks purposfull and brakes up the shape of the smooth surfaced and body colour coded rear end.

I think it looks f'ing horrible. The front and rear end look like they were designed by different people.

Its like an overgrown Hyundai Getz.

The Getz looks far worse, just another annonymous south korean econobox. It shares similar lines with the new Suzuki Swift and thats about it.

Skodas are not meant to catch the eye of the common person, they leave that job to the mainstream marques. They are more subtle and discerning. The styling is understated, not bold and pretending to be a something it isnt; A la Corsa VXR/New Civic. They appeal to people with common sense, on a budget who dont need to make some sort of stupid statement and use thier car as a fashion symbol - so the styling is well rounded and safe, just like the previous Fabia.

No The Getz isn't a anonymous Korean econobox,

It a f'ing ugly Korean econobox,

Many times while opening the boot iv'e wanted to vomit on the rear styling
