| Im having a problem with my otherwise perfect Fabia, At low RPM when applying throttle I am getting really bad/noticably audible vibration up the front of the car, not sure if it's the windscreen, dashboard or A Pillar trim, but what I do know is that it is driving me mad! Iv'e tried all the usual, and basically taken everything out of the car (cleared the glovebox e.t.c) but it still happens, but as said it is only at low RPM when a load is applied On my old Hyundai the warranty manual specifically stated that rattles or squeaks from the Trim were not covered under warranty as it did not affect the driveability of the vehicle in any way, is Skoda the same? Is anyone else having the same problem, and is it reasonable to expect the dealer to fix the problem? ![]() Very much hoping that this isn't going to end up full of squeaks and rattles like my old Fabia

| Skoda will normally try and rectify any squeaks, rattles or horrible noises, certainly worth trying the dealer... ![]() |

| No, it's not just you... It's the one thing that has really bugged me about my new Fabia - all the squeaks and rattles from the dash. I gave up a long time ago trying to find the source as it tends to come from different places! Tried removing everything from glovebox, storage areas, etc but it made no difference at all. So now i just turn the radio up.... ![]() |

| Someone mentioned the rubber bushes that the bonnet 'sits on' as one source. Maybe try some WD40 on them to see if it makes any difference. Luckily we do not suffer from ANY noises - phew - cos they really do bug me. Went so far, in the old car, as to line virtually everything (door pockets, glovebox, and on and on) with rubber matting.

I am unfortunatley nowhere near Hull but I will book it in to my local dealer to take a look at, but I think it's a problem with the engine rather than the dashboard as I am also having problems with it dropping the revs at idle

| Thats quite difficult, sometimes the car attempts to pull away in 4th gear at just 1200RPM (In Drive) which is when I get the vibration the worst. Keeping the revs up and once warm it's just fine

| If you have auto wipers put a bit of double sided foam behind the little tube from the mirror to the headlining. Single sided window draught excluder works well on fuse box covers etc too.

I am definatley booking it in as it drives me mad, but if they have to take my dash apart to get to it I could end up with more rattles that I'm starting with

| Took mine in for it's 10k service last week - mentioned the rattling dash to them and they packed the area round the glovebox. It seemed to do the trick but is now rattling elsewhere on the dash.... sigh. ![]() |

| Someone on here (sorry forgot your name) mentioned the rattle was coming from the passenger airbag cover. Mine certainly has this rattle when pulling away. |

| So it seems that the Fabia II is following the trend of squeaks and rattles that seems to plague every VAG car I got into a P Reg Toyota Carnina the other day, not a single sqeak, rattle or noise in the interior, why oh why does it go so wrong on VAG Cars

| The Golf mk2 didnt have that problem. Remember the ad with the sleeping woman? Even Mercs. One of my colleagues was saying a friend of his had a 9 year old Merc which started to show signs of rust under one of the arches so using the 15 year body work guarantee he got that issue rectified. And on newer Mercs the body guarantee is 10 years. |

| skodayouth: wife's Yaris, and now her Jazz both have rattles. As did my Civic, until cured by repeat visits to get the door cards and the horrible little fasteners (bust when trying to fix rattles!) all replaced. The quality of Japanese engineering does not extend to the trim...... |
