| Too right, pull your head in, cheq'd flag. If the brand knew BDG minutes / Desktop were being mentioned here, you could be in deep.... Here is the definitive answer from someone who actually knows. Fabia vRS will officially begin production in Sept 2010 when the Fabia is facelifted, despite what WhatCar magazine or anyone else says. This was apparently due to difficulties mating engines and chassis and also due to the fact that R&D budget isnt available for RHD models to overcome the problem, because....vRS sells in the UK in far greater volume than in Europe and therefore is not economically viable. If you want a new Fabia 1.9 TDI with 135bhp, lowered with a decent set of alloys and few other toys, I know a dealer doing their own variant. Warranty is still an issue though. PM me for details. |

| They always do that due to the nature of the coupling. The coupling locks out under boost pressure sealing up but then relaxes when not under pressure. This means they weep a bit of oil when the engine is at rest. Change all the pipes ad seals you want it wont stop it all.

Last time I asked any German dealers (in Feb) they didn't know when or whether a new one was likely, as they'd sold so few of the old ones & no customers had even enquired about a new one.

| According to the dealer I was in today, it was discussed at a meeting at Skoda UK yesterday. He told me no vrs until 2010. Looks like I will be going to another marque for my next school car cos I cannot see the new sport being particularly sporty with 105hp on tap. Chris

![]() ![]() I'm going to write another mail to Skoda Customer Services to inform them that due to lack of attention on their part... my needs are not fulfilled (soaring prices and no Furby vRS) and I will be leaving Skoda and the VAG Brand behind... ... and buying a Mini Cooper D as a lease car!! ![]()

| No new Vrs before 2010. You can always by a Sport Tdi - quite a few dealers are 'adjusting' these to 145BHP. Result - new Vrs...... (almost) |

| The only thing that anyone knows with certainty is that no one knows the answer. Don't believe the dealer chat they are always told late on. No self respecting multinational is going to let information on planned models get to the multi brand dealer groups as it gives the competition time to respond. |

Effectively by telling it's dealer network and consequently me that I have to wait until 2010 Skoda UK may as well tell me to look elsewhere. If there were any chance of having the car to market significantly sooner, I am sure they would use the reply I had last year of "no one knows". I am almost tempted to go Octy vRS diesel if I can get the deal, however, very tempting at the moment is the Fiat Bravo. The latest 16v JTD engines are very good on both fuel and performance and the car comes with a 5 year unlimited miles warranty, which for a driving instructor is a nice thing. I think they look nice too! Chris
