06 VRS for a new 07 SE VRS?

I have today been to local Skoda dealer to see a new octavia vrs, anyhow girlfriend came along and spotted a new special edition fabia vrs and took an instant liking to it! number 590 by the way if anyone on here is waiting for it.

She has an 06 fabia vrs, black magic, 6 disc, 13,000 miles, service history, great condition etc. Offered 10K for hers and 13K for the SE so £3K to swap.

Anyone else done a deal like this are we being given a good deal or not?

Yeah guess it really depends why she wants to swap - 3k seems a lot of money for the same car in a different colour.........

VRS

3k is a lot of money.

You could get a paint job for less, but then this car is an SE so may hold value slightly better than a standard VRS, has some extra toys and is a year newer.

Loosing 3k over the first year is a very small loss on the whole scale of first year losses.

not worth it IMO. £3k is a nice 2 week holiday for 2, all inclusive for 3 years!

Just for some paint and leather? nah! you can get leather for £600 ish

Sounds like a bit of a waste of money to me, tbh. Stick with what you've got, it's essentially the same car. Getting a new car could also lead to all kinds of problems if it happens to have been built on a Friday!

Re: 06 VRS for a new 07 SE VRS?

The SE looks nice and everything but i dont think there is much point in trading in a 1-2 year old vRS for a SE. Unless you have that extra money ofcourse and cant find anything else to spend it on then go for one.

If that was me i wouldnt be buying the same car again, i would go for something a bit better and faster

Try and get a better deal I got 9k P/E for an SE on my 05 black furby with side airbags , esp & cruise with 42,000 on the clock . Only swapped mine as now live on a farm and the seats were starting to become a real nightmare.

I know that feeling mate, part of my work takes me to farms and building sites and cream seats are not the most sensible choice!

have they done a different VRS with cream seats now?

maybe somebody added that as a "no optional xtra" before you bought them?
