2005 Fabia VRS Rear Bumper

Help please. I have a Fabia VRS Apr 2005 model, which has just had some body repair on the back end. I noticed on collection that the spoiler fitting on the rear bumper had a gap. I've raised this with the repairer and they say they have checked with Skoda (they are part of teh same group) and that it's the correct part, but that it has to be chopped to fit. This sounds to be like BS. They are hacking a part to fit. Can't believe Skoda would be like that on such a new car.
It looks like they have put the standard skirt which has a rubber/plastic band between it and the bumper. Can anyone advise please ... it's going for the chop next week. Would be great if anyone has a part number to quote. Has anyone else come across this? Many thanks for any advice anyone can offer.

Re: 2005 Fabia VRS Rear Bumper

I believe the vRS rear bumper is a bitch to put together. I had a new rear a few eyars back and the guy said it was a bitch and took two attempts to get the parts from skoda as the first (2parts) didnt fit right. Saying that the second attempt isnt perfect either.

The guy at my local bodyshop doesn't like doing them, they are apparently very difficult.
