I paid £79.62 (inc oil filter and plugs) today for my 10K service today! Cheapest so far on this forum?

Was dead chuffed. Luckily i provided my own PD oil, thanks to this website. If u didnt provide ur own oil it wouldve been £130. That means oil for service is approx £50. Where u buy it normally its £35? Are they ripping us off?

I lost the gromet inside the engine bay and told them it might be on the tray. They found the gromet but they found a 5inch plug as well:S Apparently after checking on ETKA, its a plug for the crackshaft to water seal the bolts on the side. Nothing major, they said they can fit it on on the next service.

Motto for today: Take ur own oil for service (which said by some ppl on here)

Just to let you know my Lube 10k service at £79.99 also included the Pd Oil and a sachet of screenwash £1.

So it would have come in at £78.99 if I bothered to fill up my own screenwash resevoir.

Bear in mind these prices are from a greater London dealer so I know I've had a good deal.

I think the problem has been that people are not aware of which service the car needs, and perhaps some dealer service departments are less than helpful. So high mileage drivers with cars which have covered 10k miles in a fairly short space of time are having a full blown annual inspection + the lube, when it isn't needed.

Thats a really good price for London, not too sure whether location makes a difference but knowing london they can rip ppl off, but come on they actually got u pay for the screenwash?

They just topped mine up for me and I believe the brake fluid - the other bottle on the left.

Thats why they should join with briskoda and read infos abt their cars and know how much it should be and what not/to do with their cars.

Just got mine back from 10K/12 month service. £140 it cost me! Sounds expensive, but by the looks of things, they did a pretty comprehensive job. PD oil, filter, fluids, brakes, tyres, even fixed my overly-hot AC!
