| Hello all I'm planning to buy new rims for next summer. I already have new tyres, size 205/40-17. Im planning to buy Tomason 1 rims, size 8x17", ET35. What do you think about this combination? I know that 8" is quite wide for 205 tire, but does anyone have experience with this combination. I would get 7,5" rim, but I haven't found Tomason 1's that size. I'm interested to know how it will handle. There's a link to the rims I'm considering, I think they look great: vannetukku.fi » Vanteet » 17-tuumaiset » Tomason 1 8x17 jako: 5x100 ET: 35 Thanks for replys in advance. |

| 205s on an 8 inch will be pushing the limits of the tyre. Dread to think what it was like on a 9" rim. ![]() I run 215s on a 7.5" rim, and it seems to be a good combo.

| OK, thanks for your answers, it's great how quick you can find answers/opinions from Briskoda I think I'll look for another rims, it's sad they don't make Tomason 1 with 7" or 7,5". I don't like the look of streched tires, and as schrickvr6 wrote, I'm afraid I will hit the kerbs and ruin the rims. |

| Hello cboman Actually, I have seen one other silver Fabia vRS in Turku before, but it was about year ago. I believe the owner was from Turku, as I saw it many times. Congratulations for choosing vRS, let's wave hands if we meet somewhere ![]() |
