Anyone use wheel spacers?

Bugger, just kerbed one of my RS6 replicas so thinking about putting my Octy vRS 17's back on. Both need some refurb of some sort.

I prefer the look of the Octy's but the RS6's really fill the arches better being half inch wider and also ET35 intead of ET38 for the Octy's

Thinking about getting some spacers to fill out the back only as the front look OK with the Octy's but the back needs around 10mm.

Any idea of whether I need longer bolts and if there are any probs with using them?

I had 10mm spacers on the rear of my 2001 ibiza cupra. I purchased them with longer bolts think the cost was about £70 if it helps. Car did feel more stable at the rear afterwards. Hope it helps.

Just did a search for more info and I think it's recommended to get one with a spigot for better support. I might go for the Eibach ones just for the back.

I have 15mm hubcentrics all round on my furby. Fronts out of necessity, rears to match. Handles better, and looks damn hot. Not had any bearings issues yet and been running them for a good year (ish)

I sourced mine through Sarah @ Awesome - Be aware you need 15+mm longer bolts too, which cost me £40 odd alone (not from Awesome though)

I've got 20mm on the rears only on my Furby.

Fills the arches nicely.

Is there somewhere that sells the spacers and bolts together?

I think I may go for the Eibachs Pro spacers (10mm) and have seen these for under £40 delivered.

£40 for bolts seem a bit steep!

£40 for 20 specifically longer bolts? £2 a bolt's not too bad, brand new. Then you need longer locking wheel bolt set too! McGard had some thankfully I was able to get for £25ish.

The thing about the 10mm ones is they're not hubcentric - At least pretty sure they won't be. I wouldn't trust any spacer that hasn't got another hub to sit the wheel on. The eibach 15mm ones fit this bill perfectly. There's risk of non-hubcentrics not going on perfectly in line, and thus might cause wobble issues / quicker bearing wear.

Yes 15mm tend to be hubcentric and that is what you need
We do the longer bolts with the spacers for £1.50 each + VAT
If you buy them without spacers £2.50 + VAT each

Mainly for Jason really - I'm looking to run some hubcentric 10s on ye old Fabia (H&R). Could you give me info on which McGards you got and whether they'd be suitable for me (seeing as you're running a 15 spacer). Also, the place you got your bolts from?

i have H&R spacers
35mm rear and 20mm front, not had any issues but they've only been on a couple of weeks so far

35mm spaced on the rear - goodness, I'd be a bit worried about the extra strain on bearing with that amount myself. Got any pics of how it looks now?

I've currently got 20's on the rear, and planning on putting some 15mm's on the front just to balance it out a little.

Any need for bearing concern there ?

Thanks - just had a look. Didn't realise he was running D90s, so they're actually adaptors, not spacers. Still, a bit too extreme for my liking
