Audi TT wheels of vRS

I am sure I have seen this somewhere before, but been offered some Audi TT 18 inch wheels for my vRS, has anybody got a photo of them on a Fabia? I have had a quick search through and come back with nothing...I am not sure how they will look.

What are those things you have on the Octy? They're quite new....

Back on orig 16 " vRS combi wheels.

Ahh ok. I agree...they didn't really suit the car. Standard ones look better.

I have got 17" RS4 reps on my car, seem to go quite well. You want pictures?

Re: Audi TT wheels of vRS

I was just gonna suggest Shaun

18s will look OTT I think. Plus you'll need a pretty uncompromising tyre width/profile to run them inside the Fab's arches - 215/35/18. 215 would be your maximum width, and you can't really go past a 35, as there'll be issues with rolling radius and speedo accuracy etc.

Re: Audi TT wheels of vRS

These are mine with 17x7.5 rims with 205/40/17. There is a little bit of stretch but nothing much.

P.S. Your new wheels will not fill the archs like in the above pics

18" wheels/tyres would give a harsh ride, due to the very low profile.
Also, check the offest & PCD beforehand.
IMO, 17" wheels/tyres are a better package.

I love the 17" TT Comps on mine!

Re: Audi TT wheels of vRS

And I wish I'd never got rid of them at all!

There you go, hindsight's a wonderful thing. Can't quite bring myself to buy another set either, or something similarly nice within the VAG family (S3 Avus-II, Octy vRS Spiders etc). Like the way mine's riding on 16s too.

Yeah, you're not wrong about the arch filling Shaun! That's because you're running coilovers

When I first got my wheels I thought it would fill the gap that was there, but how wrong was I!! Made it look worse.

Re: Audi TT wheels of vRS

Yeah, probably a common misconception, to be fair. The gap ends up being maintained, and because of bigger wheels looks worse

Saw this happen countless times with mate's cars. The 4x4 look - lovely! Which is why I'd always do suspension first, before going to a larger wheel size.

Re: Audi TT wheels of vRS

I havent got any pics of mine at stock ride height and the wheels (the VRS is 15mm lower, not much). Only thing I can do it get comparison pics of mine next to my mums tractor. My mums car has smaller wheels, so you have to imagine how much higher i would be with my wheels on.

And yes I would love to have my mums plate hehe
