| Re: Babys in a Fabia I think it can probably be turned off with VAGCOM but AFAIK there may also be a safety kit (a kind of restraining kit to stop it going off ) fitted by the dealer as well at least that's what happened when my Golf had the airbag deactivated. Also, I think you are required to display some sort of notice in the car to the effect that it is deactivated for insurance purposes. ![]()

| Re: Babys in a Fabia It was an optional extra to get the 'lock' fitted, and from what I remember it was about 50 quid at order time, so I'd expect it to cost more as a retrofit IF they'll do it. Worth asking around though.

| Re: Babys in a Fabia There is no retrofit, I have researched this quite deeply. I know people who have just disconnected the bag. The light comes on but the others are not effected. |
