Black plastic strip

Hi

I've noticed quite a few pictures of Fabia vRS' with the black plastic strip down the side of the car removed. How easy is it to remove and what is involved in taking it off?

Thanks

Started to remove mine yesterday. Be prepared for a long haul. Removing the strips themselves is no biggy, it's the effing stuff thier stick on with which is a pain in the posterior!!

A few things you'll need
1. Patience
2. Time (took the two rear strips off in about 3.5hours )
3. Lighter fuel (good for helping to remove the damn sticky stuff)
4. Fishing line or and old credit/bank card. Slide behind rub strip and use like a saw (gently though)

Good Luck

I'm starting on the front doors today!!

Each to there own

But I find it does protect from dings when other doors are opened onto it (e.g swmbo )

Might consider getting them sprayed... we'll see

If they get used to prevent dings, and you get them painted, won't the paint just crack off when the careless muppets attack???

Doesn't it protrude beyond the edge of the door, protecting it when it opens?
